Knives on my cat

My cat is a "insert expletive here" and peed on the counter because his food bowl was too close to the other cat.

In my experience two cats are 1 to many, you’ll bond a lot more to your cat keeping it single.

Another thing is to keep the cat inndoors, I know this is not popular, but they kill a LOT of native small birds that in some countries are listes as threathened if they rome free outdoors. Housecats are not a native speecie in nature. In most countries anyways.

He is indoors, it's a screened in porch. He's terrified of the outdoors. He might break a nail.

For six years I had two cats, a male and female. Then one after the female died, for 2 years. My parents also had two cats, male and female. When I got sick with liver disease, I moved back in, and two older male cats don't exactly get along. My parents female died a year ago. Now its basically just a big cockfight. My mom's cat, Rusty, is about 7lbs and smallish, but is a dick and often instigates. My cat Finn, is 13lbs (and still skinny, should be around 16-17) and is very large in general. So Rusty picks fights he can't win. Finn is a dick too, but in that he acts out rather than antagonizing the other cat.

I have some pics with knives and Finn, back when I could trust him. He now for the last year only likes me occasionally.

Rusty is the laziest cat ever. Won't even clean himself.

Just a bump...

He’s from the shelter I was volunteering at. My cat at the time was diagnosed with FIP sadly. This cat was very fearful and would not have been adopted. Now he walks with me on a leash and does some tricks. He’s still a bit wary of people but seems to like knives. He seems ok with turkeys too.View attachment 1763756

Sorry you lost one to FIP. Been down that road years ago. We had several that were leash trained. I could tell the oldest tom to get his clothes and he would bring gis harness and leash. His walk was a 5 beer walk for me. Sadly he took his last walk a week ago. His body finally wore out after 16 years.

16 years is a great run. Sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is so hard.

I was working with Toby so he could be adopted and then once my cat passed I figured I’d take a chance on Toby. He must have been handled as a kitten but was kinda feral when he was left at the shelter. I had a cat like that before and sure enough Toby came around to being affectionate like that one. When I fidgit with knives he often wants to check it out. I would say he‘s interested in knives but he usually just sniffs them to make sure he isn’t missing out on something to eat.

Nice to know another cat walker.
