Awesome! Red feels better than green and I'm not blushing.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE KNIVES ON ORDER - PLEASE READ AND RESPOND TO MY EMAILS! It`s this kind of thing that makes me want to stop taking orders, and just make what I want.
I can almost figure out which ones will be cancelled. They will be the guys who post here once, place their order, then are never seen again.
Remember this post? I was right, this month alone $730 in orders were cancelled.
Stuff comes up, of course, but like you've said, you can normally predict that before the knife starts to get made.
Remember this post? I was right, this month alone $730 in orders were cancelled. A custom design, an Urban Hawk, a custom PDT, and it looks like a ViKtim.
IMO I think cancellations are not that uncommon and potentially should be expected with an approximate 3 month waiting period. I have wanted to order one of these knives, but the waiting period has been a deterrent. I am not saying this is good or bad, just my experience.
Northridge88, You are doing the right thing, if one can't wait to get a knife made is best not to order it and if one needs to cancel the order is best to do it early in the game rather than waiting until the knifemaker starts working on it.
I waited long before ordering a made-knife because of the waiting period, however ordering from John was different because he encourages participation among his customers in the forum and everyone's shares information while waiting patiently making the wait easier, not to mention that John is a fine gentleman and very nice person to do business with.
