He didn't get robbed he was just beeing idiot calling him self knife collector not knowing what he is selling :thumbdn:
 
In reading the OP's account, I'm just shocked the dealer didn't offer him $400 as a starting-off point, LOL.
Actually, I'm just joshing. Had the owner NOT rep'd himself as some kind of collector, and asked for that low offer, then maybe Rick would have tried. But, sometimes you have to know when NOT to look that gift horse in the mouth, right? :D

From what I understand the opposite is actually true but, not quite in the way you would expect. I have been told (insert clause about third cousins, ex wife's son in law said this might not be true here)....they pick people off the street, hand them an item and put them on the show. I'm sure there's probably more to it than that but, that's the gist of it.

Yes, like all the other "reality" shows, total phony BS. Makes me laugh when I see ads for services that record 4 shows at once. It's hard enough to find one worth watching!
 
You see if they wouldn't go over the top on those shows it would be nice ! I use to watch a lot of those show but I started eliminating them and now I think I will stop watching the Pawn stars too because they are just over the top with that scripted shit ohh well good all days .
