Hey! While we're on the subject of "Survivor", does anyone have a pattern for the parang style machete used on the first Survivor series. It looked like something made by one of the local islanders, but the blade shape and size lends itself camp chores of all types. I guess I'll have to buy the video. If I get a pattern, I'll share!!!

OK...I'm sick? I rewatched it tonight while working. Again, those were really fast clips, BUT, what I saw were TWO different knives. The recurved one mentioned earlier in the thread which appearded to have a one-sided brass crossguard. The other one did not appear to be recurved and had a double sided brass crossguard (this is the one I remembered seeing).
