Hi y'all, I'm new here as far as registrations go, but I've been lurking on these forums for quite some time.

Anyway, I was hoping for some recommendations of knives with a recurve blade. I'm going to be completely honest here, and say that I won't be using them for really anything at all, more of a safe-queen; I just like how curved blades look in general.

welcome lurker! as far as production knives, look to Kershaw. Ken Onion did some wonderful recurve designs for them. If its going to be a safe queen try to find the older model Bumps and the Offset.

Are we talking folders or fixed?

In fixed, the Puma White Hunter is a beaut!

Take a look at some Kershaws and ZT's. Some that come to mind off the top of my head.:
Kershaw Speedbump
Kershaw Blur
Kershaw Shallot has a bit of a Recurve
ZT 0200, 0300, 0350, 0400

A few Spyderco's have the curve as well:
Spyderco Zulu
Spyderco Cricket
Spyderco Dodo
Spyderco Szabo Folder

What is your size preference and what is the price range you're looking in?

Fixed. Don't really get the urge to safe-queen my folders.

Price? I love my Ontario Jerry Hossom retribution 1. I think it's beautiful.

No specific price range in mind. The way I see it, these things are an "investment." If everyday, I can wake up and look at my knives and go "I'm glad I made this purchase" then the purchase was well worth it, and will thus be divided over the period of time I've possessed said knife. Or at least that's how I rationalize it. ;)

For a folder the 300 series from Zero Tolerance, and for a fixed look at the ZT 0100.

I was looking at the ZT0100. That thing is beautiful, but is unfortunately on 3months backorder at KnifeCenter.

As far as recurved blades go, on my "to obtain" list are the Emerson Commander, ZT0100, Boker Orca 2, and Spyderco Schempp Rock.

I also really like the design of the Benchmade Marc Lee "Glory" Knife. However, being that I'm not American, the whole Navy SEAL commemoration thing doesn't quite have any significance to me. That's not to say that I don't respect what he did for his country, but I would much rather have a similar knife that had nothing on the blade. That's the only downside, and main reason why I didn't get the Glory.

Okay fixed blades:
TOPS Knives Cuma Tak-ri
TOPS Knives Tom Brown Tracker - Not really a recurve but different looking nonetheless.
TOPS Knives Hawkes Hellion Survivor
TOPS Knives Wind Runner
TOPS Knives Green Badger
TOPS Knives Cochise
TOPS Knives Exfiltrator
TOPS Knives Lil Fixer

In short.... just look into some TOPS knives. They're well built and have some really interesting designs.

Benchmade 710 in M390 steel, Kershaw 1840 Shallot in CPM S-110-V steel, Camillus EDC in Talonite, Benchmade Gaucho in CPM S-30-V steel, Kershaw Speed Bumps and Tyrades, Camillus Aftermath in D-2 steel...... my mind is failing.

I was just browsing through an old thread, and someone mentioned that the Benchmade Glory looked like a TOPS D.a.r.t., and it does. I seem to be having trouble finding stores that have it listed though...

I think my Kershaw Storm and Storm II are the coolest if you're considering folding recurve blades. In the fixed blade category, I'm seriously considering picking up a SOG M40-K Ops, the curve on that is stunning.
