Knives with recurve blades

BM710, Kershaw Blur CF

These made me realize that my reservations against recurves (mainly sharpening)were for naught. These are slight recurves and look great, perform well, and sharpen easy.

You have to take a look at the Kershaw Spec Bump or the Speed Bump, wicked Ken Onion recurve blades on those. I believe they've been discontinued, but you can still find some especially the Speed Bump. I have the Speed Bump and it has a wicked looking blade on it, beautifully evil if that makes any sense....

Wow. I like the 710; is it an assisted or manual folder?

Also, how is Benchmade's black coating compared to their Satin finish?

It is a manual folder.

Recurves are useful. They draw whatever it is you're cutting into the belly of the blade (assuming it has one).

Matt Bailey makes nice recurved custom knives, very price-competitive with a lot of production knives and the quality will blow you away.

Check out the ZT-0350 and ZT-0300. Outstanding solid knives that perform great and looks excellent and they are reasonably priced as well for such a quality knife.

i'll recommend something from the Zero Tolerance 030X line.. heres a 0300 and a 0301... I doubt they'll stop making them anytime soon but with zero tolerance's recent collaboration with Hinderer who knows?

Benchmade 710 comes to mind as an outstanding recurved blade that is not too difficult to sharpen. One of the best balances between weight, length, slicing, and slimness on the market!

Fox produces a folding Karambit, which is a recurve blade. I like the functionality of mine, but the lettering isn't... very discreet, shall we say.

How about some Damascus? I have this 1095/15n20 coming back from HT today. It will have a 2 cord black 550 handle wrap.
