Knives you regret giving up (losing, selling, etc.)

FIRST OFF, HEY EVERYBODY,GREAT FORUM.BTW,I'M NOT YELLING MY CAP LOCK IS BROKEN. I'VE BEEN HANGING BACK,I'D GUESS YA'LL CALL THAT LURKING, READING AND LEARNING A FEW THINGS. PRETTY INFORMATIVE,FOR THE MOST PART:D .I HAD TO SELL A RANDALL 18 I BOUGHT IN THE LATE 80S TO MAKE A HOUSE PAYMENT ONE TIME,THAT HURT,NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET ANOTHER ONE YET.:grumpy:

Don't worry about the caps locking, it will not be the last time it happens, Welcome to the Forums, Upgrade your membership and keep the forums going. Another thing, try to read all the rules on EACH forum. I did not and got a warning for a no no. I deserved it, but had I been a little more educated, I would not have gotten it in the first place. :D :D

Two: A Don Morrow Saddlehorn folder, and a Tony Huffman Seahorse pattern knife. I sold 'em, probably shouldn't have, but at least I learned to be a LOT more considered when thinking about selling any part of my collection. That's how I know my RJ Martins aren't going anywhere. If I need money THAT bad, I'm gonna sell my blood. That simple!

I miss my old Spyderco mini-Dyad. It disappeared in my last house move. It was hellaciously sharp and fit easily in the coin pocket in my jeans. I'm a SAK guy but i loved that knife, to me it was the perfect Spyderco. What ever happened to the promised Spyderco Reissue of the Dyads? I know they did a limited jigged version of the mini, what i'm taking about is the the promised regular production version. If they ever reissue the dyad i will buy at least two!

The knife I miss most is my father's navy issue knife from WW2. I don't know what happened to it--it just disappeared from the basement and no matter how hard I looked it stayed gone.

Sorry dude, it sucks when you lose a familiy heirloom like that. It may yet turn up, probably when you least expect it.
I lost my first SAK (a recruit) for about two years. I eventually bought a Vic huntsman to replace it. One day when helping my parents move furniture the recruit fell out of their couch!
Turns out there was a short little rip in the lining under the pillows. My knife must have slipped out of my pocket fell down between the pillows and then through the tear in the lining finally lodging in the interior of the couch! There it sat for 2 years until "thunk !" there it was on the hardwood floor!
I'm hoping my lost Spydie Dyad will also make a similar surprise reappearance.

I really regret losing the first SAK I got as a little kid, had it for years before I lost it in the woods on a camping trip. That was a sad, sad day.

I lost a Cold Steel 4" Voyager while crawling through a field after a deer. At the end of the day, I had neither knife nor deer. Regardless of what some of you may think of Cold Steel, that was not only a $90 knife, but a very good one at that. I replaced it with a CRKT M16 (Law enforcement model). I've beaten the h$^^ out of it over about three years -- turned out to be an excellent knife.

Randall #5 that was stolen by movers. I bought it when I was in college, took me over 2 years to save for that knife. Had my name engraved on it too. Great knife.

"Accidently" sold a Gen 1 TAD/Elishewitz Dauntless and a Brian Tighe My Tighe long ago but I replaced them with these: (Same knife models but got a different number on the Elishewitz and the "Holey" CF instead of regular on the Tighe)

Won't be selling them again. (Unless I really need money anyway.:o )

Doh, I'm a liar. Sold the second Dauntless. I'll be missing it in a month or two again though.:(:)

I really regret losing my pink handles italian switchblade. First auto I ever owned. I about had an orgasm when I saw it for sale at a gun show, I had to have it. I bought it then had my last name engraved on it. Lost it one halloween knight when I was dressed as Johnny from the outsiders.

Almost two years ago ago, after getting my Seb, I decided to sell off most of my safequeen Spydies. The collection included a Mariner, Rookie, C10 Terzuola and Spur. I regret letting all of them go. Another knife I sold was my Benchemade 905 Mini Stryker. I'm now looking to replace them again:o

Don't worry
Rookie and Mariner are coming back. Terzoula is listed on two forums I believe and the Spur can be had from another website from Japan for less than $90.
