I have three. The first is the original benchmade auto presidio. I really just don't like the grip on the auto presidio II nearly as much. The "like new" ones I've seen, just aren't my definition of "like new." I know the coated aluminum will show wear, and it wouldn't take long for one I owned to have the same bare spots on edges, but I would rather be the one to put those spots there, lol.

The second is the benchmade pardue 530. I really liked the look of it. It was really light, which a lot of people love. I tend to prefer a more substantial feeling knife, but I really liked that one.

The third... call me tacticool all you want, but I really liked the cqd mark v. The design was over the top, which I sometimes like, and I liked that it was a2.

I wasn't done typing yet, but for some reason when I clicked to insert the last image link, it posted...

I'm looking at getting a benchmade 535-3 (s90v and carbon fiber with blue hardware) or the 535bk-4 (m390 with aluminum and red hardware.) I would rather have m390, however that one has a coated blade which I don't prefer. So I lean to the 535-3 but the carbon fiber is really light compared to the 535bk-4 and I prefer a little more weight. Then I start thinking, well, the mini freek in carbon fiber probably won't be around nearly as long as any of the bugouts, it's a little heftier feeling, however with a slightly shorter blade, but will I regret not buying it. I know I'm weird in liking heavier pocket knives, but weight size doesn't bother me much, as I'm carrying a full size adamas folder today. The shortest blade I have in my normal rotation is 3.3"

I regret selling one car. 90 5.0 fox body, comp xe 270 cam, tf twisted wedge 170 heads, 4.10 gearing, so on and so forth. Transmission crapped out and I was burnt out on working on it, so I sold it to my father in law. I guess luckily I can still drive it if I want. Another car regret is letting my wife drive my scat pack, she rear ended a truck without touching the brakes. Thank God she didn't have a scratch on her. The adjuster called me and said "well, I've gotten to 32k in repairs... and that doesn't even include the engine."

If it makes you feel better, i have tried the 530 twice and hated it each time.

interesting question...for me I regret not buying multiples of the benchmade balisongs as well as stuff from Jerry Hom (basilisk) and 29 Knives back when they were available at a more reasonable price. Early 2000s is when I first got into balisongs and knives in general and I remember paying fractions for some knives of what they sell for today. This is taking into account the unprecedented inflation we've experienced or the past two+ years and the excess money supply causing market bubbles across nearly every good/market.

3 Randall Made knives that are on auction right now with 4 days left and they are way over my budget at this time. Should I share a link or is it permitted? I have no stake or interest in them besides drooling over them. I might add that one of them is at $620 and the reserve has not been met. Somebody is going to be a happy cutter.

No, not once do I regret passing on a knife purchase. I wasted too much money buying and selling knives, because I wanted the next cool thing. I'm getting rid of my accumulation, except for a few keepsakes and the knives that I use.
