Knives you regret not buying.

I regret not buying:

Custom Emerson CQC-7 - back when I could have just called & ordered one for $300ish.
Spyderco Jess Horn - passed at the time because I was into Tactical folders.
Spyderco Lil-Temp - saw it on sale below cost but passed because it was fully serrated.
Bob Terzuola M30A1 - had a chance to buy a custom one for $200 that had been given to Fighting Knives for an article.

I'm sure there's a couple more, but that's the main ones that come to mind.

I haven't gotten to that point yet since I'm relatively new knife collecting so it's more of a "I missed out because it was sold before my time" type deal. That said, would've loved to have gotten a CS Immortal.

One of the Spyderco Vallotton Sub-Hilts converted to D/A auto by the man Butch Vallotton himself. It has my vote for the coolest production automatic knife of all time. I know our own WValtakis WValtakis has one within his extensive D/A collection that I sit and admire whenever he posts.

It feels like just a few years ago it was easy to find GECs in stock at many major websites. I‘m not sure why I ignored them until they sold out and then became interested when they became scalper food. Some lesson in psychology maybe? I would have picked up the versions with awls or single blades.

Also a few Spydercos like the Mamba and Brouwer. I was too practical with my choices.

I regret not stocking up on Benchmade 42s and 710s before they were discontinued.

I regret not getting a bunch of Spyderco Slysz Bowies.

I regret not buying out the rest of the Vehement Knives Proteus and Kuto Misas from KSF in early 2017.

amen, during HS my local knife ship was still around and I had a shot at a bm43 on the secondary for around $300, of course in hs I didnt have that kinda money lying around so no bm43 for me.

When I was into Benchmade 42s... they were $125.

I regret no finding my grandfather knife when he passed away. It was a knife he carried his whole life, or at least the part of it that I knew him, I loved him very much and having his knife, something that was on his person at all time, would have made me feel like he's still with me, even though he passed long ago.

Other than that, no regrets whatsoever about not buying a knife.

I think I have more regrets on knives that I've sold more so than ones I haven't acquired.

I really like titanium it seems. Spyderco Sage 2, Slysz Bowie, K2, Nirvana, ZT 0640.

Ontario OKC Joe Perdue Utilitac II JPT-3r. I have the tanto version with the squarish handle, and it's a great knife. I suspect the non-tanto one with rounded handle was too, and having one of each would complete the set.

Buck Marksman. This one was just different enough to catch my eye with its "strong lock system," plus its size and steel.

In the early 80’s. I tried to talk my Dad into letting me buy a Buckmaster, but he wouldn’t let me. The funny thing is I agree it wasn’t a practical knife, but it would have been a great investment. Lol.

I also regret not ordering my Randall much sooner. I remember thinking 2 years is too long to wait! Lol. Instead I waited another 20 years to order it just to wait another 5 to get it. I would have had it 23 years sooner and probably would have avoided buying other lesser knives in the mean time.

Cars? I could have had a couple projects that hit at bad times. An eight door corvair van, and a couple Jeep Commandos with the Buick V6 engines. Sigh……

Too many GECs to list....but I really wish I got the titanium mini grip with the wood inlay and a CRK impinda. There are some Bucks that I would have liked to get as well. Different exclusives and stuff like that....

I had it in my cart a few times, but at the time thought they were too expensive.

I shoulda bought 3 of them. Its like the holy grail now. If anyone has one they wanna part with, you know who to message!!
