Knives you want to like

I've bought a couple of Case Peanuts, nice for a desk knife but too small for a main pocketknife. Funny thing is my wife has seen and announced twice that she was keeping a certain pocketknife she saw on my desk; one a Case Peanut and one a Schrade 108OT - I saw the Peanut tonight on her Christmas wrapping table - glad she likes it! As to the 108OT, I found another to replace it.
I don't find them undersized for my pocket knife needs personally, but obviously it's easier to do small knife tasks with a bigger knife than the other way around.
I've seen people use little knives like the peanut to do things I never thought of, but I'm never in that kind of pinch because I have various types of utility / beater knives around from Stanley knives to Mora's and cobblers knives...etc.

Interesting thread! 👍 My want to like but can’t is the Barlow pattern. I have two beauties, a Kabar branded rootbeer picked bone copper dog head and a layered black micarta and blue carbon fiber, both made by Canal Street. Fat and clunky in the hand and all four blades nail busters.

I have tried several and want to like them but can’t seem to warm up to the stockman pattern. I have tried various sizes and covers and none of them have struck a cord with me. Getting more specific, the same goes for California clip and lambsfoot blade shapes.
