Knives you wish BM would bring back?

720 series... It won knife of the year for Pete's sake.

Also, similar to the Grip, but with g-10 handles.

I want them all, every single one and if I ever make enough money, I will have ever single one (production at least)

They're making money, they sell what's popular, can't blame them for that, just happy I have the few that I like.

The 722 and the 705. I have one of each (705 on the way next week from "the exchange" here) and wished they still made them.

I fully believe that BM has the abiltity to produce without a doubt, the finest production knives brought to market. However, they seem to step on their meat everytime they get a chance. I'm not calling their product line junk, not at all. I own several, and like them. But my favorite, is a 710....a timeless design. It's not a newb by any means. I wasn't around to get a 705, but would probably be in for 3. The AFCK, never even laid eyes on one. But I like the looks, and would buy 3 or 4, if they were $100 or less. The pinnicle? Put me down.

I am not going to pretend that I know BM, better than BM. But I do know a thing or two about marketing. It almost seems that they have too many overlapping knives, that are competing for the same marketshare. These are the same knives, that if you got rid of, and made some versions of the ones we have listed, they would probably regain the market with a vengance.

I realize that this is the BM forum, and I mean no disrespect. I will still buy your products. But I am now just a lot more picky about which ones I buy. There aren't a lot that appeal to me. If you want a great example, take Spyderco for instance. They build all kinds of stuff. Some lasts a year or two, some are just special models, and so on. But do you see those guys discontinuing enduras, delicas, and the like? No, they are bread and butter.

In other words, you don't have to discontinue classics, that I am sure would sell, for newer, lesser designs. I hope you guys are listening, and taking notes.

That could be said about most knife companies. I mean you can fall over at Spyderco and not hit 25 knives the size of the Native, Sage, Para Military, etc. nothing wrong with that, just the way it is.

You have to remember Benchmade makes everything they sell, unlike a Kershaw or Spyderco that has several sources of knives. Just because knife nuts like us like a knife does not mean it sells. Rumor has it the 806 AFCK was a poor seller, hench the axe. I think this forces them into a model others can avoid. A Spyderco Police model can sell as slow as you like, not taking up time on the manufacturing floor in Golden.

The one issue Benchmade has is attracting and maintaining quality collaborations. IMHO.

On topic, I am always in for an AFCK. :)

The benchmade 722, 705 and the ritter grips with m4, m390 or m2hs. I know they never made an m390 version but I just added it in there.

How about a Benchmade Elishewitz Dark Star.

I found one in a gun shop years after it was discontinued. Excellent knife. Mine got stolen with several others by a so-called friend of the family. Would definitely like another one.
