As a collector I spend a lot of time searching the web for interesting knives, and good deals. Sometimes I find posts or old ads that feature knives which are no longer made. My question is what knife or knives do you wish you could have bought when you had the chance ?

As for me, I was obsessed with finding a Rekat sifu for years. Now I have one. I think currently I wish I could get either a Benchmade Delta Raider, a kershaw boa in satin, or a Benchmade Brend.

There was and still is just too many good knives to ever buy them all, before they are discontinued. Spyderco just cut about 40 and I've bought a lot of them after hearing that and they are very cheap, if you know where to look. But, there's no way I'm going to be able to get them all.

In order of coulda-woulda-shoulda...

1. 25th anniv Delica.
2. Gunting.
3. All of the Jess Horn Spydercos I could get my hands on.
4. Mouse.
5. ATS-34 Military.

Buck 560 when they were on close out for $29
CRKT S2 also on close out $25
SMKW use to have some great close outs. When I saw these deals on there site they were already gone.

Every time I go to the scrapyard knives website, I can't help but think of the deals I passed up as they came available.

That, and I had a chance to get a smashing deal on an original Timberline specwar and I hesitated. We all know what they say about those who hesitate...

A few years ago Scoot Cook emailed me to let me know my Lochsa was finished. I didn't have the extra cash at the time, so someone else got it. I don't feel too, too bad though... I already had one, but I wanted a backup.

The Spyderco Manix II in S90V, But I'm hoping they'll do another run with G-10, until then I'll be saving up for the M4 military.

If I knew then, what I know now, I would have bought many more:

- BM 806D2s,
- BM 805s, and
- Spyderco Persians (the big one).

Sigh.
