As mentioned in another thread I am selling off many of the knives I’ve had for 10, 15 and 20+ years, not wanting to leave the task of sell to my wife who has no understanding of value.
That said there remain some knives that I wouldn’t sell. These are knives that have been well used over the years (carry and/or cutting) and have a special history with me.
Spyderco Yojimbo 1 (blue) purchase from Michael Janich directly at my first Martial Blade Camp in 2005. My EDC for many years and used for numerous cutting chores.
Benchmade Mini-Presidio I’ve had for 15 years, carried and used for various cutting chores. Beautiful design and love the Axis lock.
Spyderco Native Slip-it was purchase as a deep concealment knife when NYC considered any folding knife with a lock a prohibited gravity knife. This made a generic Delica a prohibited gravity knife.
I also was reminded my daughter that there is a group of knives in boxes in a dresser at my son’s house. I’ll have to get her to describe them to me so I’ll know what “treasures” I left behind on Long Island. I’m guessing some Delica’s and Endura’s.
What knives do you have that you won’t sell under any circumstances and why?
