I'm sure that most of you have experiences. However, things arn't always simple. Sometimes, you can't carry a 4 foot katana. I love how the person who defends their thread is always seen as being "pouty" or "butt-hurt." Don't flatter yourselves. I think it takes more "fortitude" to stand up to a crowd for what you believe to be right rather than being in it. Besides sir, you're one of the founding members... you should show a little more respect.
I realize that I may be the odd man out but in my 59 years on this earth I haven't needed to carry a katana (yet). (Even while out on deployments and making arrests.)
If you think it takes fortitude to stand up to the crowd then you should try being a moderator in this zoo. It'll thicken your skin and make your head swivel in amazement like you wouldn't believe.
Oh, and I'm sorry if you don't feel I was being respectful enough. I actually thought you were a tad condescending yourself when you stated:
I did, but all I keep seeing is trends. People jumping on the band wagon sort of thing. I thought that maybe after reading this it will enlighten some people.
But hey...in the end I was just having a little fun on a Sunday afternoon with a few other like-minded friends and forum members. Sorry you took it so personally and hope you find the answers you're looking for since I'm pretty sure this is going to open up some avenues never explored hereabouts. Really. Best of luck with that.
Edit To Add:
I didn't close the thread, just so there's no confusion on that score.
