Knob Creek Attendees- Bet you didn't see this SOB coming...

I'm really liking this blade - despite all attempts not to. :D

Add this to the growing list of knives that I will own some day.

Basic 8
DCBB Boss Jack Proto without choil
Jaxx's DCBB LMS

Eric's satin LMS
AK47 stripped
Ruck stripped
SOB
Basic 5 smooth coat
CG FBM stripped
...

As much as the little badger proto is a nice blade, nothing will compare to the original, which is actually what needs to be remade as the anniversary model. I traded mine off years ago not knowing better, and have missed it ever since. .25 thick, canvas handles, and the shape that just grabs your hand. Can't be beat.

how thick is it ?

1-Allows you to bring your index finger closer to be blade for better control.
2- better grip.
3- I've used the small choil on my AMSMO to make sparks using fire steel.
;)

1. If your blade goes all the way to the scales you're already close...and you have scales underneath your handle, not cold, hard metal with a low surface area creating pressure when you use it hard or for extensive work
2. Don't see how...not filling enough
3. I would like a small sharpening notch, but a squared spine is just as good and can be used for scraping wood.

Nice. I hope the production run of these has choil options.

No choil or a BB sized one gets my vote!

....to each is own... That's why custom shops are so nice, and that's why we've got choil and no choil crowds....:)

However I do like the square spines.

Love it Garth. Kind of like an old style badger. Is the new SOB pretty much the same -- different grind?
