You are so busy carrying water for the eBay seller, possibly being the same, that you have lost it.
1. The eBay seller characterized 420HC, an American steel, as "sharp," - not the knife.
2. The knock-off artist is disliked here, not because of his ethnicity but because he attempts to profit from the creativity and industry of others -- usually with an inferior product. The "white cloaks" and "burning cross" comments are an clumsy attempt to change the subject. There is no American "race," as I myself prove. Americans are of every ethnicity. Playing the race card will not change one opinion or deflect a single member here.
3. I don't know the ZT knock-off is from China and did not say it was. One poster provided a link to a company that uses "China" in its name and, thus, might be in China. However, it is a fact that most knock-offs are from China, including knock-offs of Japanese, Indian, Nepalese, and Taiwanese knives. The fact that many legitimate knives are from China does not change anything, nor does the fact that, like Japanese knockoffs, Chinese knockoffs tend to be better than Pakistani knockoffs.
4. Appropriation of another's name for commercial gain without license is actionable in the United States and Canada. Use of a brand name that does not apply to the item being sold is contrary to Ebay rules, although hardly a matter of great concern to eBay.
5. By agreement, Wenger is the "Genuine Swiss Army Knife" and Victorinox is "The original Swiss Army Knife," and both were correct. Both sold knives to the Swiss Army from the 1890's forward until recently, Victorinox being first by a couple of years. Knife people know the very significant difference in the features of each brand over the years and can tell the difference from many feet away. Neither company used the name of the other company to sell, unlike here with the "ZT Style" and "Strider Style" of this eBay seller.
6. "Looks like" is one definition of counterfeit. An item that merely suggests another's work is not a counterfeit. Mr. Brend's knives are easily distinguishable from Randalls
