Knockoff zt?

The color of the titanium looks off but that could be the lighting.

Did you do any research yourself before posting here? For example, two minutes of looking at photos of the real thing, and playing the "what's different" game?
 
That’s under better lighting, I really hate supporting those companies that manufacture fakes
 
Yeah I did, I’ve got a decent collection but I know that there are so many variables such as date of manufacture and how there can be variations in carbon fiber etc. I own many zt’s but none of my local shops carry the 0562cf.
 
The lockside titanium isn't ZT factory style. The brochure looks to be a blatant photocopy.

It’s also missing the relief cutout machining as well, it’s really amazing how good these copies the quality is incredible for the money
 
And sorry for the confusion, I already bought it, I have it with me rn, Something just didn’t feel right
 
When did zt switch to 20cv? I've seen the real thing in m390 and Mines in 204p.

In any case it looks legit to me from the pictures but no idea. I think the fakes use a different blade steel and cf.
 
Received reply from seller along with receipt from Zt shot show 2017, it was a prototype or preproduction model, the same one as from bladereviews.com with 20cv instead of m390. Thanks for the help everyone, bladeforums is awesome!
 
Did you use PayPal? Get your money back. Jill's right; it's pretty clearly a con. Even non knife folk would think to mention that it was a pre-production proto in hopes of driving the price up and the serial # makes no sense.
 
I would try to take some better pictures to send off and inquire of KAI/ZT as to their opinion regarding authenticity. I've never heard of an 0562CF with 20CV (M390 and later 204P), and that serial number seems fishy to me too.

The lockbar cut-out on mine looks very different than either pic of yours and no matter how I hold my presentation side up tp the light I can't get my CF to look anything like your pic. Prototype from Shot Show 2017? When did the CF model drop?

Anyway, I hope you paid by credit card or Paypal G&S, so if you get a negative determination from KAI/ZT you can file a claim if the seller won't refund your money. I would get a refund before returning the knife and I wouldn't send the knife to KAI as they're likely to confiscate a counterfeit.
