KO leaves Kershaw

You folks have changed the point of the thread to focus on the wrong person.

Ken Onion is a great knife designer and a top maker, he needs simypothy from no one.

Kershaw is a great company with the finest plant in this country and a team that is tops as well. This company is managed like GE used to be. Look for great things from them in the future. I seriously doubt that Kershaw drove Ken away, I can only believe that he left because he wanted to.

When somebody makes such an over the top remark, which is also quite wrong, just ignore. While im not a big recurve fan, im sure ken will still be missed.

All my Kershaw knives save one is a KO design. I'll miss seeing his name under the Kershaw logo, but I do look for him to start his own "Emerson" type company.

Thanks for the complimentary praise A.G., coming from you this means a great deal to us.

Kai USA will continue moving forward in these challenging times, and trust that our hard work and resources keep us on a positive track for the long haul. We have many future plans that will bring forth new and exciting projects that we hope all will enjoy.

I should add that we consider our relationships with all of our designers to be quite confidential, and won't publicly air details of those contractual agreements. We wish nothing but personal success and happiness to all the designers whether they are currently in or out of a contract.

Kershaw will be fine and more importantly Ken will be fine. Based on seeing his custom work I would say that we can only expect more great knives from him. Hopefully both will move in the right direction. While both benefited from the collaboration, sometimes things end, and that's the way it is. Good luck Ken and I for one will be watching for what comes next.

hmm, that socom fella hasn't said much else... maybe the Kershaw mafia has something to do with this. :) Good work boys!

Hey that is the same thing you said when we left the BBQ rib place in Vegas bud ! ;) Man , that was great food , and great conversation my friend.

Best of luck bud , though with your talents , luck has nothing to do with it.

You could always move to Vegas , I need a mentor :)
