Hey, thankk you all very much for the prompt replies. Like i say i try to always assume the best because usually people are at least trying to do the right thing. Thanks for everything, you guys -- i'll give him a call right away. I just hope that i get the exact knife that i paid for. I'm sort of picky and i bought it because it was exactly what i wanted. Anyway, thanks again, and everyone's replies supports my impressions that Daniel Prentice is a good guy.

Dan will take care of things. But if for some reason the situation isn't to your liking, I'd be more than happy to send you $207 and Dan can send me the knife when it's done.

I have been switching back and forward from days to nights and even being called in on my days off, which I finally got a break this week...... I will always make right by everyone, sometimes I do get behind, not intentionally. I have been aggrivated about making timed orders..... so I am about to take orders a bit differently.....ideas. Sent you an email on the tracking order.... I will also try and get this done for you..... I am not off work til saturday, so run the tracking number.....

A note to everyone about me......... emails are not the best for me as phone calls.... I have a cell phone number so please use it. I will do the best to always do the right thing, not just because I am an Army Commissioned Officer, but a southern boy to calls everyone neighbor.

Hallelujah. That sounds great. I can't get in touch with Daniel consistently, but all i want at this point is my money back. send me an email at renegadeyogi@yahoo.com and i'll give you my address where you can send a money order. after that you and Daniel Prentice can work out the details. Thanks for taking the situation off my hands.

I once bought a knife of Daniel and emailed him about a problem i had with it , it was double stamped so i let him know its no big deal . The knife is a user and a bloody good one at that . Point is Daniel said he would look after me if i ever decided to buy another knife off him . I just have`nt had the cash to order one . But Daniel is a Stand up guy in my book who would bend over backwards to please !

I own two of Daniel`s Knives by the way both are awesome !
 
Just contacted UPS, they are doing a tracer investigation. They said that no signature was given so far as they can tell and might have been dropped off at your door..... So, within one week they will either have the package or a refund....

This is not my fault at all..... the delivery date was on the 20th of feb. Sorry, but I will let you know.... also, ups said they need to know if you walked completely around your house to see if they did not leave it at another door or elsewhere..... Call me to let me know if you done this and do not see it.......

The tracking info you gave says it was signed by Harris. This post says no signature was given. So who is Harris? Something isn't right there. Maybe it was delivered to the wrong address or a neighbor (Harris?) signed for it?
 
It has arrived! It came taday (the 3rd). I didn't sign for it, which is not unususal, but threre is another Harris (though not Kevin Harris(me)), so it could possibly have been signed for. there are several enterences for our building, Marked A,B,C,and D. Sometimes a package will get left in the wrong Wing or whatnot for a couple of days. I was really worried it was lost -- in several years of swapping knives by mail i have never once had anything go wrong, so the more time that passed the more i was convinced it would not arrive. But, this morning, there it was! My faith in Daniel Prentice remains unshaken, and he obviously worked really hard to make sure that UPS didn'd mess up the delivery of a $200 knife that could easily have cost $400 or more. That Says a lot about a person. The knife is so uncompromisingly artful and beautiful -- most of the hard-use knives i buy are made for function over form, but heere's one made with equal attention to both. I'm forced to look at hard use knives another way -- most knives with this level of finish are more in the $600-$800 range. Many thanks Daniel, i'm more impressed than i can tell you...

I am glad that the knife was delivered........ UPS....!!!!!!! anyways.... I really appreciate your input on the blade and I am very happy you are happy with it....... Sometimes shipping problems happen and it is a nightmare for us all..... but I will always do what I can to deliver......

actually, if I can make enough knives I am going to submit for my Journeyman Stamp this June..... So, not taking any orders now and might not be able to post any blades until then...... but who knows.....
