This poll is not so much to see if you agree with Steven but if you think he should cut his experiment short and continue to share his views on the forum.

Come on back STeven!

I was wrong, you aren't even HALF the issue around here.

Brett

Steven needs to come back. By the way, things are no more settled right now. Look at all the threads. I don't know the guy but I like his posts and think hes hilarious and smart.

Edit- STeven Voted! Does that mean you are back?

Mr. Reyes,

I want to vote, but my choice isn't amongst your options. There are tons of posts I come here to read and STeven's are amongst them, but if he wants to lay low for a while, I respect his choice and will wait for his writing to resume here in early June. He definitely fits into the "speaks because he has something to say" category and not in the "speaks because he has to say something" category.

STeven is above groundless emotional appeals.

I have dusted off my ouija board, in case there are any communications from beyond the pale.

STeven will come back a more kind, gentle and sensitive STeven. :)

YEAH RIGHT :eek::D:D:D

We miss you man :(

I'd like to see Steven back posting. He is knowledgeable, and his input is valuable. People just have to get to know how to read him.

" Rais'd impious War in Heav'n and Battel proud
With vain attempt. Him the Almighty Power
Hurld headlong flaming from th' Ethereal Skie
With hideous ruine and combustion down
To bottomless perdition"

Aw, com'on back STeven, all's not LOST

It's good when we *all* keep our voices...

...particularly one as acute as yours STeven! :D

Excuse me for being so dense.

Where did this 'experiment' originate? Which of the four hundred critique threads shall I look..... ;)

Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Truly speaking, it is not instruction, but provocation, that I can receive from another soul."

We ALL need to be provoked to think beyond ourselves. STeven is a catalyst.

I would have replied if the options were "Yes", and "No". As they are written, none are appropriate. I have always hated this type of polls where the pollsters try to have the answers corraled into saying something they don't agree with. I don't think that's your goal here but you should have left it at yes / no.

It is up to STeven but this forum is less without him.Much less,IMO. :)

Here, here!. Very well said. I typically don't respond in this forum and try and learn while I lurk around here. But I felt compelled to give this one a +1.

I will now be more serious on the subject than my above post.

Don't know if anyone even noticed, but I took about 10 days away from this forum back in January and actually considered not returning until urged by several here to do so. It really helped my perspective on things by taking this break.

I believe anyone who is very active here can benefit from a little time away once in a while. This forum can wear on you and you can start to take things more serious than they actually are or should be.

Does this make any sense to those of you who are very active and have been here a long time?

I guess what I'm saying is that only STeven really knows if he needs to take some time away or not. And we should support him in either way he decides.

STeven's posts are the best and the worst. He's supreme when he blends his knowledge with sanguine wit and writing skills; he's worst when he goes pathological with arrogance and savagery. Only when STeven learns to reconcile strength with gentleness will he achieve the greatness that's within him. I, for one, am pulling for him.
