IMPORTANT NOTE:

Bohler Stainless Steel N690 tool steel is very good steel.
But when hard is not very tough for heavy works especially with the tip.

So:
No rust, holds working edge long, easy to sharpen but not suitable for tanks or windows opening. You can loose the tip.

Perfect for kitchen, cutting, slicing or skinning.

Please consider this when buying.

About how thick is the Agor right behind the edge and how many degrees is the edge sharpened at? Thanks Is it okay to chop wood with it?

I was asking about the M390 one. Is it okay to chop 3 inch wood with it?

Of course the maker will provide an expert response, but in my opinion M390 at that blade thickness and angle would probably be fine for chopping softwood but risky for batonning through hardwood (by which I mean it would do fine most of the time but eventually you might hit it way too hard just as you hit a knot and you would risk losing a chunk out of the edge or even the spine snapping if the blade flexed massively while being hit). This is just going on what I've seen others say. M390 is a tough stainless, but wouldn't be quite at the level of something like 52100 and nowhere near V4E or CPM-3V. Jamall please correct me if I'm wrong!

Currawong, you are right.
I use M390 for its corrosion resistance 20% of Cr makes it stainless even hardened for secondary hardness.
But M390 is not good choice for tough knives.
It hold edge perfectly and sharpen easily plus it is stainless.

If looking for the tough knife choose A8Mod(Viking), CPM 3V or Vanadis4e, K600 and some other tough steels.

I love M390 for cutting abilieties and make my knives with M390 for that purpose.
Then trying use tip with my heat treatment process it CAN crack quite easily in comparison to steels mentioned above.

So

M390 for cutting purposes and when no maitenance is desired.
Vanadis4E for tough field knives and cutting also but can rust...

That is my choice for steels.

DO not want to take care of your knife and do not need tough tank opener you will love M390.
For all rest - choose Vanadis4e
