Holy crap! I'm famous!

Thank you everyone for the positive feedback. Whenever I make a sheath for a non-Koyote knife, I always get worried that the owner of the knife won't like it, (It's happened once before :grumpy. So I'm very excited that you like it, MNeedham.

Someone didn't like one of your sheaths? Really?

Did you check their temperature to see if they ahd a fever? Did you check to see if they had any diseases? Were they blind?

There are many confused people in the world, nothing a little slap therapy wouldn't cure... I own a number of quality sheaths and this sheath is very impressive. I really like it:thumbup: Thank you KG!

Slap-therapy? why didn't I think of that !
The main problem was he didn't want to leave the knife with me, So I ONLY had it for the basic water-forming at the beginning. It didn't fit as well as it should have . As a result, I didn't get paid and I still have the sheath, maybe I'll get some pics of it...

Well no $#it it wouldn't fit well...... how'd the customer think you could make a form-fitting sheath with out the having the knife to check your work? Don't count that one as a failure Sierra... count it as a learning experience.

side note....

I had something worse happen with a hawk cover, one time. The guy told me he had a Cold Steel Norse hawk. So I made him a sheath to fit a NORSE hawk. Turns out he had a FRONTIER model. A few weeks later he's posting pics of my "poor craftsmanship" and asking members if he should ask for his money back. I asked him retract the whole thread because it was a misunderstanding (I had emails to back it) He got his Frontier sheath... I got my Norse back. But there are still folks out there who will see me as a poor sheathmaker because of that post.

You know how,if you refuse to blow into the breathalizer,it is an automatic admission of guilt? Well,if you refuse to leave your knife for the sheath to be made/fitted,then you should forfeit the right to bitch at the fit! The results are on you,the buyer,not on the maker.
However,as Magnussen pointed out,you can't really undo the results,either.
So,perhaps the lesson/fix is,respectfully recommend that they find someone else to half- ass their project.

Oh it was definitely a learning experience. Now a days, if you don't feel comfortable leaving you knife with me, you can find someone else to make you a sheath!
