I've been looking at Kris Cutlery's website for a few days now and was wondering if anyone knows anything about their blades. Kris Cutlery says they make good stuff, but that's to be expected. The prices are awesome, but how durable are they? Fit and finish? Any help would be appreciated. Wasn't sure where to post this thread so figured general knife discussion was the catch-all.

Great post. It's nice to see someone ask about something BEFORE they buy it. Good luck on your quest for information.

I have two Kris Cutlery wakizashi. The fit and finish is excellent. I have also heard many good things about their products over the years.

If I remember correctly Kris cutlery is a pretty good entry level sword so to speak, kind of along the lines of cheness cutlery and the paul chen stuff. I had been looking for quite a while because the material and price, if I am not mistaken I believe they are actually made in the phillipines or indonesia. I cant remember what forum it was on but I heard they used to be excellent swords for the money but QC kind of went south like the paul chen stuff so quality is spotty. but I know nothing of the kris knives...gonna have to go check it out as I havent been by that site in quite a while

Cecil is a great guy and VERY knowledgable! His products are in the hands of "many" FMA enthusiast here and abroad. I would however speak with him personally of you have any questions. Have fun!
