Is knives ship free a reputable dealer to order my BK Golok from?

Any one have good, or bad experiance with them?

as i understand it, ksf is one of the larger dealers for bark river, and very well known as reliable and easy to communicate with. no personal dealings though...

I placed my first order with them for the KSF Machete on a Saturday, and I had the Machete in my hands on the following Wednesday. They sent me 2 emails, one when I placed the order, and one on Monday, with the tracking info. It was packed VERY well. Awesome dealer, no worries...

I believe that somebody said that a BF forumite owns it, but I don't know for sure.. If thats true, I'm gonna switch over.

The owner's name of KSF is Derrick and he goes by the handle okbohn. I often see him posting in the RATCUTLERY forum but also see his posts in WS&S once in a while. I bought my RC-4 from him and have an RC-6 on pre-order. Good, straight up dealer to work with!

Another thumbs up  for Derrick at KnivesShipFree (unless it's to Canada, then it's an extra $5- not a complaint, just a fact).

Yes - but doc you have to admit that a charge of $5 for international shipping is a steel, uhm, er, steal.....Many places charge between $20 - $30 for CDN shipping from the US.

kgd, I said it wasn't a complaint. I agree with you. I put it out there for informational purposes only.

I know I asked how much it cost to ship to Canada when I first placed an order and I'm sure it would be a question for other 1st time Canadian buyers.

Just received my BRKT machete and now have my Golok on the way...excellent customer service and fast delivery.

AMEN to that

I try to order as much of my stuff as I can from KSF. Derrick is a good guy!

Same thoughts here! I've been ordering from Derrick for awhile now, and have been very happy with the service. He and Wendy do things right!:thumbup::thumbup:

I have bought from Derreck - great guy - great service. I knew Larry & Mary at DLT Trading from some years ago - dlttradingcompany.com is another great BRK&T dealer - and just up the road from them, too - up on MI's UP. You can't gow wrong with either dealer - all of my Barkies - and most of my Marbles - came from one of them. Of course, no word on where my marbles went...

KSF is great! I've gotten a couple of knives from them. Thats who I was going to get my BRK&T Golok from if I actually make up my mind to get it. Still on the fence.

KSF is not only a stocking dealer for BRKT, but Derrick gets first "dibs" on custom knives and special runs -most recent example is the "Barktario" machete built at BRKT using Ontario machete blanks. Since KSF is a dealer for Ontario, they also supplied the machete blanks.
