I sent him a very difficult to work with piece of steel and he met the challenge head on!
I don't want to reveal what knife it is because he may not want to deal with another one if asked.
Suffice to say that it was needing much attention to even be functional!
He charged me very little for what turned out to be alot of work.
The end result is a hair shaving beast that while not practical is very useable.

He really made the best of a bad situation and deserves high praise for even attempting the job much less tuning it up like he did.

Thanks buddy!

i'm glad you like what i done. the piece was a gil hibben rambo IV machete. that was one heavy blade and making a few hundred passes across the belt sander made it feel like it weighed a ton quickly. i'm in no hurry to do another but i might later on. i'm curious to know how well it chops and holds the edge. be careful not to miss or whatever flesh and bone you hit will be gone.
