Kukur Dog Tihar Special for 11/10

Absolutely love the wood on that BDC. Would love to grab another 12" with that sadan wood! I think that may be my new fav, yellow dhar wood and lali gurash were tied before, but the examples I've seen of this stuff take the cake.

Nice scores guys

I fully agree. Probably the biggest reason I bought the Lachhu AK Bowie the other day was because of the beautiful Sadan wood handle scales.

Hmmmm, no bites on the bowie yet???? A Kumar Bowie no less. Pretty clean and nice. Mikey likey and I do too.

Yaa and taking a look at that wood handle is one of the reasons I offered to make it new pants ;) haha and the biggest reason I wanted it too, as I'm sure others did.

There was a Bowie with a red grain mark on the horn, and another recent one with a light wood handle. Dhar or lali gurash if I recall correctly. Those 2, and the one you got BB, are probably my top 3 favs I've seen up for sale. The one I got falls in 4th, if only by a hair. I keep going back to the pic to look at those fullers..soon I can both look and touch

These are great prices. I don't think I've ever seen an 18" 32 oz BDC posted. They usually run around 14" and 17 oz.

SG, yeah I love the fullers on yours as well, they are beautiful as is the overall Bowie. Now if one came up with fullers like yours with Sadan wood like mine, I'd be tempted to buy another. It would certainly be difficult to resist.

Forgot to mention, have you received yours yet BB? Sometimes the camera angle and lighting will make even the deepest fullers disappear, like a desert mirage makes dunes look flat. You may very well have the exact Bowie of which you speak!

SG, no didn't receive it yet, perhaps tomorrow, if not Thursday. I thought the same thing and have my fingers crossed. I might get lucky, it appears the Lachhu Bowie Umi scored on 11/4 has at least one from what I can tell from the picture.

DD on the Foxy Folly, and I'm pleased as punch. That's a heck of a deal on a knife that I've been wanting for a year now.

Does anyone know shipping costs to Australia in $USD For 1 or maybe 2 blades. Thanks

Yangdu would know for sure, since she has shipped plenty of blades to Australia. Send her an email with your question, and if you have one or two particular models in mind, mention them. The cost might depend on how big or heavy the package is.

About 30-40 USD
I usually accumulate a few and then ship them together - only works if you are going to get a few though and not 1!

3-4 knives depending on size comes to about 70-80 USD

Thanks guys, I did try a msg through blade forums but didn't hear back
Not sure if it got there?
Looking at the tin chirra by thamer
It's a nice looking blade

Is it just me, or does the handle on the BDC look massive? Especially compared to the same length WWII a few pictures down. if it actually is that big and not just my imagination, why is it?
