They should have changed it up somehow, and made it look somewhat different. IMO..
Possibility the blade is DLC coated to prevent corrosion?
I know it sounds strange but Spyderco has stated that coatings are actually worse for corrosion. I am not sure what testing they have done but the idea to coat non-stainless steels comes up every so often and that is always the response.
Likely peel ply(textured) cf or at least I'm hoping it is [emoji4]Anyone know if the scales will be smooth or textured like the Mili 52100? I think texturing cf takes a lot away from the look of the cf.

Yea, I get why people like the texture for grip, just doesn't look the same. I'll definitely like it better then the Jade, especially for a user, the Jade is bound to get dirty fast. I dyed my Jade scales black.
