Hey physo bro, I learned the turkshead from a knotbook called "knots and splices" by des pawson. It's a 3 lead,5 bite turkshead. I use leather lace(2mm) bought at tandy. Beware, I had a book about knots that had the inncorrect instructions on the knot. It literally took me weeks of frustration before I figured it out. Check out this knot website www.animatedknots.com I just found ot on another forum recently, very cool. It's not the same way I tie mine but it might do. He only doubles it, it's cooler as a triple.

I think i may have to practice that one a bit.

I love the japanese styled knives (this one is fantastic) and I think they dont really look complete without a turks head knot.

I plan on making alot of Japanese styles after I get my Coote set up, and i was dreading that knot..lol

Thanks man, that site was a big help.

*goes and finds some string to practice with*

I received this piece a couple of days ago and it's every bit as nice, or nicer, than it looks.......excellent grinds, very sharp, and a great job of wrapping the handle.....quite a set-up with that G10 sheath.

I owned a Randy Martin Ozuka (is that correct, I've forgotten) for a short time before I sold it but your knife reminds me of it, but as a dressed up version. Blade profile was similar. Very nice work! Love the sheath setup as well.
