L-6

Chemistry, Aldo, chemistry! Is it the good stuff with a pinch of moly? Sounds nice, but as we recently discussed I just unloaded a truck today with all the 1.25" Champalloy rounds currently available according to Crucible and tucked it away in my shop:). Soon I will have the stock pile of tool steels I always wanted, some serious debt and no knives to show for it:o.

Aldo

You have my interest. Like many have said, do you have an analysis?

And, you say that like it's a bad thing! :p

I'm guessing, by the response, that there's a little interest in it! The list is being finalized today. There are quite a few sizes. Chem will differ across the lot. Will try and get company chemistry if I am able to determine the Mill that made it. A list will go out to those interested in the order the E-Mails come in TO MY E-MAIL ADDRESS:

I hope that doesn't mean they are planning to make more! I have a small store of of the Champalloy L6 but I'm not really set up to use it any time soon, until I get a press set up that is (six feet of 1.25" round).

Hmmm, how long is (are) the 3 x 6 piece(s)? Might be able make a really nice post
anvil out of those...

Posting here instead of emailing Aldo because I haven't even used my new 200lb Peter Wright yet.
It's a bit early for me to think of adding another anvil.
