Anyone else stoked about this one? Seems like a home run for me if it carries nice and slim. Mine is in the mail.

Mine’s in the mail too. Very excited for this one. Definitely the size I was wishing for in the GM6.

One shipped yesterday to me too. I'm very curious as to how it carries vs my Shiro F3. The XLC is 1/4" shorter than the F3 in overall length yet both have an equal size 3 3/4" length blade. The XLC appears 1/2" shorter in closed length as well.

The packaging some top knife designers are doing are rivaling the best automotive designer's work today. Each working within similarly tight parameters in their respective fields.

Yes. Likely made by Kizer as the EZC and EWC reportedly were.

I think the EZC was the only one made by Kizer. Since then they’ve been a combination of Chinese OEMs, with Reate definitely plying a central role.

On MBKs site they state that the weight is 3.8 oz. Can that be right? They must have trimmed some weight wherever possible, because my Laconico Keen weighs 4.2 oz on my wife super accurate kitchen scale. Either way, this one is very tempting.

Edit: I have one on the way! I hate you guys!:)

WTF...really? I just checked off a bucket list item yesterday. And now this? *sigh* Where's my dern list?

Blade shape and design looks excellent, I really like it. I also like integral handles, but honestly I don't like the overall shape of this handle.
It's just too much of a rectangular box imho

I think it's a slimmer handle and thinner blade stock. I'll tell you for sure soon, mine's out for delivery right now! :D

Blade stock is thinner than the Keen (0.125” vs .16”; about 20% difference), and the sides of the frame appear to be a lot thinner than the scales on the Keen (they’re the same handle length).

The XLC drop point blade appears a bit more versatile than the Keen’s fat spear point shape. I like to use a coring test. If a knife can’t core a cabbage without breaking it, it’s too wide to easily turn.

Very few of my folders are thin enough to core an apple neatly.

Fellas, this guy is even thinner than advertised! Same stock thickness as the EZC at .12 to my eyes. It’s listed at .125, the same as the EWC, but the EWC looks noticeably thicker to me. Someone with calipers can say for sure.

Anyway, everything seems to be dialed in perfectly on this bad boy. I’ll try to get some pics and comparison shots up soon.

For $300, this thing is a total steal.
