Ladies & Gentleman. May I present the HIS(style)SB? Pic?

Balance is good, handle is good, rivet (solder, paste, scotch tape the guard) ........I hate to be rude (kinda) but GET THAT DURN THING IN THE MAIL!!! HIKV with a Western twist is near unbearable, and I've salted away a car payment, at least until I'm caught :D  :(

Haste makes waste...act in haste, repent at leisure...slowly, slowly catchee monkey....Take your time, Bro...I'll manage somehow....maybe if I give up coffee.....

Thanks Will!!!!!!:)

Will, do you mean the brass that was supposedly supposed to run along the back edge of the Bowie?
If so, in a word....NO!!!! The Case Western style Bowie I have has a brass channel added along the back of the blade.
There are many reasons Not to have that on a really decent Bowie.:)

Walosi my brother I understand and wish I could send it tomorrow, but it really does need to be painted properly.
The paint and clear coat will help reinforce the soft wood. I would hate to have a dented point and have it wind up like the awls on the YCS with their blunt points.:D

Besides out elder bro says it won't be practical to have the Bowie made until after the 1st of the year.
Maybe, just maybe there will be some added benefits by waiting a while longer.
As I said a while back, "No Promises" but I may accidently have a couple of more items up my sleeve providing I can stay well enough to get them done.
A trip to the cardiologist today sort of confirmed I don't have to be feeling the way I have been for the last some months!!!!
Here's Praying and Hoping along with keeping my fingers crossed!!!!:D :D :D :D

Bro,

That theres the REAL THING! And a lotta work too! Wado Equa!!! I'll take one!!!

All ndns are lazy, but with a concience. That means they will get too it, and then do it the easiest way possible.:D

But ever now and then we will totally forget Murphy's law that knows no boundaries between cultures or planets and try a short cut. That handle everyone likes was glued back together.;)
Cedar always has straight grain. What I didn't do was to look at it carefully before I split it instead of cutting the wood off.
The Cedar split at an angle and went into the hole at the butt.
And it's dayumed difficult to get a straight hole in a 2 X 4 with a hand drill, going at it from both ends.
My 1st thought was %$^%$, but then I put it back together and knew I could save it. Saved me hours of work!!!!!!!!!:)

And it was one of those "foolish" things. I knew better, but went ahead and did it anyway.:o

Thanks Bro. And it has the real Scagel edge too, as in convex.:) That's another thing I am hoping the kamis get right without any improvements!!!!!!
And if they do it won't be like another Bowie which is solely a flesh cutter.
This one should take bones easily and with no damage to the edge!!!!!:)

Never put off 'till tomorrow what you can avoid doing at all.

Now that does indeed look like a nice bowie. Seeing that 'in the steel' will be one of the highlights of the new year I am sure. I doff my cap and raise my glass to Yvsa the Maestro! I dare say it will still be a bit big for my mitts ,( I dont want to look like the hobbit running around with his sword ), but I could always hang one over the fireplace. The handle's nearly as big as a claymore's afterall ;)

Well done.
