Hi,
I need an help to denounce John Landi, this is my story:

I have bought from Landi various knives in the 10/25/2010 for $835,80

I have wait for some months the order, in the 06/15/2011 I have added others knive for more $228,90, I had faith on his honesty.

Occasionally, I send a mail to John, for the news, and all times are apology.

Now, I have spent $1064,70 and 2 years, and I haven't knives or money.

Let me know what I can do to resolve the situation, and if I can call the Police.
The problem is that I am not US citizen but Italian.

Sorry for the english and for using this space.

Thomas

News on 10/05/2012:

I want update the comment, some days ago, finally I have received my knives + some blanks blades.
I think this thread have accellerate the situation (thanks BF).
I can tell that John is slow (in my case very very slow) but honest.

Sincerely, one man can wait a Landi like a Randall

it's as simple calling the bank or whatever financial institution issued you your credit card. If you ordered knives once and received nothing but an apology, why would you order yet again? I'm confused.

I'm afraid your story about Landi knives is not unique. I've seen several complaints similar to yours. I think John is a good guy that got in over his head a while back once he became popular. :( . I found it surprising that I received an email from him advertising blanks on 9/3/12.

I bought two Bull Snakes from John himself. I wanted a customs paint job one one and John arranged it all, got it sorted and done , I paid him and he shipped both together to save me money. I am in South Africa so in my book John Landi is good to go.

And if the OP is accurate?

Probably due to his shady dealings he has not been on the forum since January. - Last Activity 01-24-2012 07:33 PM . So I think banning him won't help much.

I'm afraid calling bank doesn't help much after such long time... max. timeframe for complaint with issuer is 180 days.

A very very expensive lesson my friend. In the future do not pre-pay for a knife, it's a good way to be out money with nothing to show for it!!
In this case I think you waited too long to get much help from a bank, a credit card company and probably the Police.

I have only had one dealing with him, he took a long while to deliver the knife, but I did get it. Hope you get your knives.

Bummer. Hopefully he will make it right.

I like the look of his knives, but have never had any dealings with him.

Just for the record, my personal dealings with John were good. Although, the last knife I got from him took much longer to be delivered than promised. That was three years ago.

Heard from a source John may be having employment problems. My personal dealings with him were good, I hope he makes right on these things soon.

I'm very glad you got your knives.
I'm also waiting two years on two knives but I'm confident Landi will deliver.
