"Lanny's Clip" Picture Thread

My only Lannys clip, made by Josh Miller, a 19 year old lad. Wraught iron bolster, Ram horn scales, a wonderful knife.

Best regards

Robin

Thanks Primble. The knives are mine the pictures are John's. His photos can really light these beauties up and I appreciate him doing that so I can share them in these forums.

Hey guys, I am just new to traditional knives. I am just wondering how a Lanny's clip differs from a regular clip point? I'm thinking it's just the handle pattern. Perhaps someone could fill me in. Thank you very much.

Lanny's Clip is a pattern designed and first made by Tony Bose. There's a story regarding the name "Lanny's Clip" but I'd rather not remember it wrong. Someone else might chime in with it.

So many nice knives in this thread. Here is an older Lanny's Skinner I really like.

Here are Tony's comments about the origin of the name:

Some great Lanny's in here fellas! Here is one of mine built by Jim Dunlap--

Does this count?

It's a prototype for me, let me know what you think. It's a 3 3/4" traditional spear point saber ground on a Lannys frame. In my opinion it turned out great. Halved in green micarta .105 ATS-34 60 RC ground nice and thin.

I might call it "Lanny's Spear" but it looks great Brent! ;)
