Lanyard NOT FOB Source?

If you don't want paracord for aesthetic reasons, Tandy Leather sells leather lacing. I buy bags of scrap left over from their leatherworking classes. I think leather or cloth boot laces still exist, too.
I know this is a fob, but try to imagine a much longer loop:

@abcdef
Dudley had a pistol? That I don't remember. I thought that like Woody of 'TOY STORY' his holster was empty.
I even watched some of that idiot's cartoons on the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show when I was a youngling back in the 1950's and 1960's. Talk about a pair of morons ... Rocky and Bullwinkle make Sponge Bob and Patrick look intelligent. (My nephew/godson used to watch Sponge Bob, so I was forced to watch it ... and The Kermit the Frog and Big Bird's Show with him.)

I made this lanyard for my Sebenza out of leather. Easy as pie.

On the topics of lanyards, wow that's a cool lanyard. I've never seen a leather lanyard with multi-colored tritium vials. I think this post has increased my lifetime use of the word lanyard by at least 100%, incidentally. I hope OP appreciates how lanyard-ey your lanyard is because it's totally a lanyard-ey lanyard if I've ever seen one.

Lanyards aside, where did you get that cool bead?

Make your own, learn to braid, to knot, and all that kind of stuff. You should be happy with what you created for your own special needs and if not, you will learn from it. See, it's all win/win from now on.

Anyone know where to get a knife LANYARD?

I have no use for, nor desire to get a worthless/useless for my needs FOB.

If you don't know the difference between a lanyard and a FOB:
One end of a lanyard attaches to the bail on a knife, is generally 30 to 36 inches long, has a swivel on one or both ends to prevent twisting, and the other end connects to a belt loop on your trousers, or a belt clip or loop on your belt.

Obviously, a fob and lanyard are not "the same thing" as some continue to think.

Thank you in advance.
Personally, I think you're hiding behind a polite request for help to run your mouth about what you think of FOBs and lanyards and pass judgement on those who don't really care
about your definitions and terminology.
I know the difference and have never had an issue using paracord for both.
I work on electronics anywhere from 15-30 ft everyday and I think both lanyards and fobs get in the doggone way.
I use fobs and lanyards on zipper pulls.

I got it from Mixglo, they sell all sorts of lanyard beads:cool:

Google "British Navy Lanyard" and you can see all kinds of traditional stuff!

I made a short lanyard to hang a fixed blade sheath through a belt loop. It's nasty tactical paracord, because I had some laying around, but any kind of line would work.

Howdy Steve,

Might not be exactly what you had in mind, but Victorinox has a 'Belt Hanger' that comes with two different lengths of chain. Fairly inexpensive and would do the job. Could be worth a look.

Good luck!

My first lanyard was a 800 mm SAK chain and hanger. I wish I could find another one.
Unfortunately , the poltergeist in my truck decided s/he needed it in the other realm or dimension for whatever reason, more than I needed in this one.
(S/he did return the Marbles MR278 "Demo" knife that was attached to it.)
S/he also took a few of my knives there for a while. Most were eventually returned though. (found in places I never left a knife. In the mini refrigerator's freezer, for example. I didn't even use that freezer. Why (how?) would I leave a knife in it?)

Did you try searching on the internet?

Why would anyone want to help you after you say something like this? I realize things aren't going great for you, and you are likely just lashing out because of your personal circumstances, but jeez. Read what you posted again. Not even you would help you....

Did you try searching on the internet?
Yes. I admit getting nothing but fobs when searching for lanyards was a bit upsetting. Especially when the search was at a company (like Victorinox, who actually made lanyards in the past) that should know the difference.
Why would anyone want to help you after you say something like this? Look at all the "Show Us Your Lanyard" threads. Full of Fobs, with nary a lanyard to be seen. I realize things aren't going great for you, and you are likely just lashing out because of your personal circumstances, but jeez. Read what you posted again. Not even you would help you.... Actually, I would. No doubt my suggestion would be ignored, as it typically is, but I would still try to help.

Well, I don't know what to tell you. I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt that you would some how realize how much of a big baby you sounded. Oh well. You got a lot of stupid answers because you asked a stupid question as a means to insult people who don't think exactly like you. Try being nice when you ask other people to help you next time. More bees with honey....
