Lanyard or no lanyard?

While there are some knives to which I like a lanyard attached, I removed the lanyard from the small Sebenza I routinely carry. Did this mainly because the design of the lanyard/pin on the Sebenza makes it extremely easy for the tip of the blade to rip the paracord to shreds. Besides ... there is plenty of room to grasp the butt of the knife to remove it from my pocket. Now, if the CRK clip was designed for a much deeper carry, the lanyard would probably stay on, in spite of the blade tip cutting the parachord.

The first thing I do with a new sebenza is take off the lanyard. I don't care for the way they look and to me they get it the way by sticking up out of my pocket.

Keep them on because a Sebenza looks naked without it. For me, its part of the knife.
It's the only ones I have that is a must for a lanyard.

I leave the lanyard on my Small 21, which I carry unclipped deep in my coin pocket. The lanyard makes it easy to pull out.

I remove the lanyards from my large CRK's, which I carry clipped to my pocket. A lanyard is unneeded and would just hang out in the way.

I leave the lanyard on. Its how the knife came and I always like the look of it with the lanyard on. So when possible, I keep it on. Several of mine do not have one though as I bought them used that way.

Keep mine on because I like the look. Also, I carry it in a CRK pocket sheath so it makes it easy to pull it out.

I removed the factory lanyard on mine and changed to some thinner blue dyneema line and made up a brass bead for some weight. For me the stock lanyard is very over sized on the smalls. Mine spends 75% of its time unclipped loose in my pocket so the lanyard is helpful removing it, but also doesn't get in the way when clipped after work.

I have many sebenzas and only one still has the lanyard attached. I just like the way they look without.

I carry a Benchmade 710-1401 with a factory BM lanyard and find its just easier to get to my knife when I need it. It has never gotten in the way and I kind of like the way it hangs from my pocket

My main Sebenza is clipless so I keep a lanyard on it, and it helps with gripping a Small Sebenza too, for me at least. On my clipped Sebenzas I keep short lanyards.

I removed my lanyard. I just use it too much and the lanyards that I put on it are just annoying. It looks and feels better without it. And of course a month from now I will put another on for a week and then take it off again.

After talking about it, I just did this. Found some leather from Gary G. on the forums here. This is probably the only thing I will use. It is very lite weight and looks pretty cool. I do love 550 as well, but I gave up on beads and things a long while ago.

Same with me, different colours of paracord and knots, but I really like it best without. I carry mine, small plane, clipless in the CRK slip sheath. It's riding comfortably in my right front jeans pocket.

The sheath with the knife within just looks so much better without any paracord sticking out. Also I can not say that I have any trouble pulling the knife out of it without the lanyard.

I like using the lanyard. I carry mine in my back pocket and it makes it easier to pull out. With the exception of my recent purchases I've replaced them with Paracord, although I'm starting to think I may like a thinner cord.

No lanyard if clipped. I don't like it sticking out of my pocket. If I have a need to go to the slip sheath for an extended period of time, I might put one of the fancier lanyards on to help with extraction from the sheath.
