large folder for general abuse

Just as a heads-up, I've heard that a lot of people have had problems with the Pocket Bushman. Not sure if it's been remedied, but it's something to think about.

Keep in mind that that video was made in 2009, however, and that Cold Steel may have fixed the issue.

I would suggest any of the folders with the tri-ad lock, the bushman is a different lock and it has had issues in the past.

The Bushman was revised for last year (2010), and it was supposed to fix the problems with the lock. My friend has no problems with his Bushman, the only thing that ever happened (that was bad) with it is that he cut himself with it.

the 1st batch of Pocket Bushmans had defective springs now redesigned. Ive been beatin on this Demko brainchild for a few months now / no probs. The Krupp steel has held up well. The Rc is probly 57 or 58 at least bcz my Rc 55 file wont touch it.

I missed the coin few time before I could hit the coin exactly the circumference, at that point the coin flying on me as a result.

I used a piece of verry soft wood under the coin which has become a bit of shock absorber, when I realized this & .... I put a bit of more force behind the knife.


Tip damage zero.

I just saw this in the hard use folder thread (feel stupid that I missed that thread). but did you mod it? it doesnʻt look like what I have seen for that knife.

Yup. Heavily modded. I can't stand the exaggerated recurve so I saw one that was tanto reground that TheCarbideRat posted so I sent it to him. After carrying it, I realized the grip sucks so I field stripped the whole thing and polished all the moving contact surfaces and gave it a sawed off shotgun semi subhilt handle job.
