here are 5 large sambar stag rolls that i have for sale. they are all 5" long. i am asking $90 each + shipping. i dont have paypal but postal money orders will work just fine. rje196021@gmail.com

still available. once the supply of sambar stag that exists here and abroad is exhausted there will be no more. india will not allow any more to leave the country
 
BA & Harry, have you ever tried to import stag?

Have you had dealings with people in India or the Indian government?

Have you contacted the proper US government agencies regarding the importation of stag? BTW, the fine from DOI is $450 per PIECE.

If the answer to the questions above are no, why are you crapping on Richards post?

We deal in lots of stag and I can tell you what Richard wrote is exactly right. I wish we could get more stag, just like desert ironwood, green sea snail, walrus ivory, elephant ivory, tortoise, etc.

Try and get stag from India and let us know how it works out for you. The world will beat a path to your door if you can resolve the issues.

Richard, your prices are very good if the stag is straight. Take pictures of both sides and the top so knifemakers can clearly see what you are offering.
 
You are right. I've never imported stag and I spoke way out of turn about something that I don't know much about, on a thread where I had no business saying anything (hoof in mouth disease).

In a lame attempt to explain myself, I guess I didn't consider the differences in stag. You always hear about stag being harder and harder to get yet we see fairly affordable stag handled knives year after year. Compared to ivory, stag seems like it's always available. But after reading your post and doing some thinking... This isn't the place to discuss any of this.

Sorry folks. Back to the sale of this fine stag.

still available. i searched the "bay" and couldnt find any sambar stag that looks even close to what i have. anything that is there looks to be low quality or smaller size.
