Large Sebenza or Multpile knives?

While this is a slightly tough decision and you will get a lot of answers, I thought I would throw in what I tell all our customers.

Get what you truly want. If not you will end up coming back and getting it anyway. With that said, you have always wanted a Sebenza, so I say go get you one!

Sage advice  Congrats, by the way.

I'd go with a Sebenza for one simple reason. The darn thing is so well made that it's easy to use as the yardstick against which you can judge the quality of every other knife in your collection. Whether you end up liking it or not, at least you'll own a knife that features obsessive attention to fit, finish, quality of materials and workmanship . . . the kind of attention that has earned CRK Manufacturer of the Year Awards from Blade Magazine for decades. And you'll never, ever have to ask yourself whether a knife you're interested in is as good as a Sebenza. You'll just know.

Nailed it. Just make sure you get the "large" unless your hands are truly small. The "small" closed length is less than 4" and I cannot use this knife. I've had quite a number of both sizes and much prefer the large...particularly important if you ever have gloves on...
The other point I wish to make is that you seriously consider the Umnumzaan. The blade is 0.140" rather than the 0.125" of the Sebbie 21, and you might enjoy that extra heavy-duty capability. I also have large Sebbies, but have preferred several Zaans which I have used for several yrs. You pay the same money, and can easily sell these CRK's for what you pay for them on the Exchange... BTW, I always buy "as-new" or "slightly-used" on the Exchange; have never regretted it.
Just check it out.

Oh yeah, in a blade that is 3" or less, the Sage 2 is by far my favorite folder. I love the feel of titanium slabs...whether CRK or Sage 2.

^ I used to feel that way about small's until I tried one with inlays. My first was a micarta inlay, and it really changed the feel for me. I just received my grail, a mammoth bark/ivory inlay with a DT ladder damascus blade small 21, and my quest for perfection is complete.

I Do understand. That one is gorgeous. My favorites in the small were box-elder. The trouble that I experience with the small was...that in trying to close the blade, you have to depress the lockbar. To get my thumb onto the lockbar, I had to move the knife forward in my hand...and when I did, the knife would nearly fall out of my large-sized hand. I bought the smalls for looks; the large Sebbies for carry. Thankfully, Chris makes two sizes.
