Large tactical folder recommendations

I'm looking to get a larger folder for EDC. I am currently carrying an emerson that is shy of 4 inches. Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality larger sized folder that is over 4 inches and hopefully 5-6 inches?

I am looking at the rukus which is 4.25 inches. Are there other folders out there that feature blades between 4-6 inches? I wish they didn't have to discontinue the camillus CUDA MAXX. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Looking to spend between $100-$500.

Spyderco Military. Those lrg. folders are sell'n like hot cakes. It's a big folder but because of an excellent design, you'll hardly know it's in your pocket.

AfterDark: note that many large folders are configured for tip-down carry only, as the mass of the large blade tends to flip it open in your pocket if carried tip-up. If you are a "tip-up only" person, this is something to be aware of.

It will be hard to beat the 610 Rukus for all it offers. I have a 610BK with some of the optional silver twill G-10 grips that I absolutely love to carry and use. This is a very stout and very utilitarian knife with it's flat ground drop point blade.:thumbup::)

Definitely the Spyderco Military. The S90V model just came out and you can get it on knifecenter for $200. I would definitely suggest getting it

How about a large or extra large Mayo?
May I suggest that you look at Steeladdiction, True North Knives, Plaza Cutlery, Moore Custom Cutlery, Robertson Custom Cutlery, NC Blades and EDC Knives. These are all excellent custom knife purveyors!

cold steel xl vaquero
CS X2 voyager
Cammilus Cuda Maxx 5.5" (discontinued). My favorite....D2 frame lock D. Ralph design Flipper knife.. Titanium. Goes for ~ $110-120 used.

Eventho the blade is alittle shorter than what you are looking for, I suggest that you take a hard look at the Zero Tolerance ZT 0200. I carry one (I have a pair of 'em), and I wouldn't think of carrying anything else as my primary EDC.

Zt0200 , or Spydie Millie . Maybe a Strider SNG if you feel spendy . THe Millie is a joy to EDC , and a great utility cutter . Very much at home in the kitchen , or family picnic . My fave EDC is a Strider PT , I know its a small knife , but it doesnt seem to have got the word .

As always YMMV ,

Chris
