Lasik. I can see! If you did it and it was good speak up...hate to censor but ...

I did it back in '04 and it was great! I had horrible vision up until that point and it was like a miracle being able to see without glasses and so clearly and vividly. I remember just staring out my house window afterwards being amazed that I could see individual blades of grass and the leaves on the tree. Then two days later a rubber band snapped and hit me directly in the eye! :o What are the odds?? Luckily there was no damage and my vision is still great to this day. A couple of my friends recently had it done and they both said that they had never understood why I was so excited about it until they actually underwent the procedure and experienced the difference. It was the best thing I have EVER spent money on :)

I thank you all for the coments and support. THis has been one of the best things I have ever done. I went in couple days ago for check up. I was 20/20 with each and some 20/15, was 20/15 with both and made out half of the 20/10 line! Since I have had glasses since the 9th grade I am tickled to death. I am having to find a new distance for reading compared to before but I can handle that slight change.

SO, whose the resident sunglass afficianado? WHo makes the best?

Well, now, I REALLY like my Serengeti sunglasses. Since we have to sleep in sunglasses in AZ, I've got 'em everywhere...

I like Oakley, too. My first pair after surgery were Oakleys I still have and wear!

Had my Lasik about 4 years ago, has been wonderful. I need to go back to get a bit of a touch up though, things are starting to get a little fuzzy.

I second Serengeti, I keep a pair in each car as driving glasses. Revo's and Maui Jim are pretty good companies as well.
