hmmm, i see what youre saying, thanks for the heads up but they are different enough that i cant get too irritated...
Honestly dont know if the similarities were intentional... will give the benefit of the doubt

Those similarities were honestly not intentional. I was simply experimenting with the placement / incorporation of an iconic knife shape (folding hunter). I'm sorry if there was any confusion. Thank you, Gene, for giving me the benefit of the doubt. I would never intentionally copy another's work.
 
OK then MikeOfSteel, lets assume that it was not intentional.... all those propositions looks very similar so it could have happen.

I've been playing with this idea for a while... still not in love with it but figured I'd throw it up anyway.

If this were a client meeting instead of a contest, I'd recommend the middle design from the following 3...

I didn't include the tag line in most of the designs because it is just that... the tag line.

Ooh, I really like that final one with the upright knife. It looks like the corner of a 3-D monument and is easy to read as well.
 
man, i haven't been able to get to this. to be honest, my submissions included, none of the entries are very strong. there are a lot of interesting ideas but executions are just okay. i agree that there should be another round and taking those approved logos to the next level.

EDIT...AGAIN:

people were telling me it wasn't working and all they saw is a question mark. I can see it on my computer just fine but decided to upload it again to see if it makes a difference
