Last Folder Purchase

The size limit really puts most poduction knives out of the running. Spyderco makes a few great little ones but they are off the shelf knives. I'm going to sing along with choir and recomend a custom. You should get it made out of that M390 steel though. It is a great steel and should cover most cutting chores you can throw at it. There is "better" but it depends on what type of environment and cutting chores you will require of it. BTW, you know it won't be your last knife. LOL

Two "first" choices, both CRK.
the small Sebenza, blade-length 2.87"
the Mnandi, blade-length 2.75 The Sebenza would be the outstanding first choice IMO.

Yeah, perception wise, I think it would be a little too much for the sheeple. I have had to use my folder in Bath & Body Works.

Don't ask why I was in there; if I told you, I'd have to kill you.

A small Insingo was something I thought about, but I feel there is something lacking from the ergonomics of CRK. I know it's unfair to make judgements without experience, but it's something I've done a lot of work with, and I can usually spot comfortable knife handles.

I'm going to suggest the BenchMade 755MPR (mini-Pocket Rocket), the smaller knife in the pix. It has M390 blade-steel, is very solid, will cut all day, but has a handle thickness that is almost chubby. Has 2.9" blade, G10 and titanium.

So, if I go custom, does anybody have a suggestion for who? I like Peter R's work (boy, do I).

I'm not trying to start a war, here. I just want to know if there are any other names out there.

The AG Russell Acies 2 is labeled as having a 2.99" blade. Can you get away with that? Ti framelock, satin finished ZDP-189 blade, deep pocket carry in tip up or tip down, Hinderer overtravel stop, angled thumbstuds, all in a nice thin package.

One I forgot is Martin Knives. The Small Tejas has a 3" blade, but I'm sure that they can shave a bit off to suit your needs.
