I Got these two this week. I bought the Swayback Jack, and the mini Copperlock was given to me. Both with CV steel.
I put a patina on the Copperlock blade last night.
After buying so many Spyderco's all year, it wound up being this Cold Steel Spartan. I was taken with it's lock strength and low price. It's a solid knife for the money.
My absolute last purchase for '09 was Tuesday's Benchmade 672 Apparition to go with the 670 Apparition Santa left me last Friday. Keepers both, the 672 having a bit different blade and G10 scales. They came from new old stock - including old prices - and a desire to make room.
Unfortunately I was browsing thru Jay's Knives website and saw a 25th Anniversary Kershaw listed for sale. I wound up buying it on Tuesday and it arrived in the mail today. This knife is so nice, I'm hesitant to play with it too much. Probably as close to a custom folder by Ken Onion as I'll ever get.
CPM-440V blade. Ti bolsters and liners with polished G-10 scales. The clip seems to be bead blasted SS.
Does anyone know any knife repair people/shops? I have a knife with me that just came in the mail, but it's broken. The blade won't come all the way out when I press the button. It's a Taiwanese clone of an Italian Rizutto Milano.
I bought it for 46 dollars and told them that it was okay that it was broken. I told them that I would have it fixed. I was so happy to finally have one in my possession that I didn't care if it was broken or not.
Please give me the name/number/address of any knife repair people or shops.
Thanks as always!
PS-If you guys help me, I'll post pics of it when it gets fixed.
The last knife I bought was a cheap bayonet. It came with an Romanian AK clone attached to it. Accessories for my knives just ruin my budget, sometimes!
