Last knife purchase of '09

Unfortunately I was browsing thru Jay's Knives website and saw a 25th Anniversary Kershaw listed for sale. I wound up buying it on Tuesday and it arrived in the mail today. This knife is so nice, I'm hesitant to play with it too much. Probably as close to a custom folder by Ken Onion as I'll ever get.

CPM-440V blade. Ti bolsters and liners with polished G-10 scales. The clip seems to be bead blasted SS.

That is a sweet knife! Damn, I like that.:thumbup: I had an Avalanche(sp?) in 440-V and loved that knife. Gave it to a friend.(don't know what gets into me to do that) I miss that knife. Congrats!!

I was very very surprised at how massive the Campanion is.
I think it's thicker than my Busse Tank buster! Though it doesn't really bother me, i gotta read the technical specs more carefully next time i order.
I'm not quite comfortable with the odd jimping on the top of my new VG-10 Native...

Before my aforementioned locally purchased BM 672 Apparition, the last ordered knife was my new Myerchin B300 'Offshore Folder'. Ordered by phone 12/21 afternoon - and shipped from CA via USPS Priority Mail ($6 s/h) - it arrived in C. A. (Central Alabama!) 12/23 morning - wow!

My quest to find a proper bosun's knife is completed. This is so much more of what I wanted than the Victorinox's and Bucks. The Marlinspike is extended to the right in the picture below. Very tight tolerances - nicely made. It was on sale - and at a decent price, too.

It was a great year... this year will be as well - despite the economy, etc.

No knife purchases planned anytime soon, that's for sure... time for beans!

Got 'er second hand from a fellow BF member, ended up not havin' to pay the costly shipping fees you'd get from Valiant directly. I'm told by the original owner that this baby's a good chopper. Hopefully 2010 will give me the opportunity to test it out.

Bushwacker Mistress (middle one) was the last. It got sent to the wrong address and the post office refused to deliver it due to "security reasons". Then, at Christmas they announce they've sorted it out and will "allow me" to pick it up...

Oh well, at least they put in some effort. Plus I got to speak to Amy and she's a pleasure to deal with.:thumbup:

The RAT RC4 was a gift, the IZULA was purchased as a complement to the RC4, and I sold all my assisted openers in favor of two BM Axis folders. Very happy at the moment.
