I went with the bow tie. Just looks awesome and old school. But I'd also love either of the bomb shields.

Went with the bowtie because it looks like it might be long enough to engrave initials on. Also the long shield will probably look more balanced on a 4" knife.

I went with the short bomb. Less is more. In particular, less metal obscuring that purdy wood!

1-3 look good to me. I don't like 4.

Do the photos show exactly where the shield will be placed? No 3 is sorta close to the center pin.

No 1 is what I would normally choose but I think I prefer a larger shield for this knife.

No 3 is a good size and it's not too close to the center pin. I'm favoring it for this reason but I haven't decided yet. It sorta looks like Schrade's Uncle Henry shield. It looks good but if No 3 can be moved further away from the center pin then I might go with No 3 instead.

Short bomb for me, always been one of my favourite shield types. However, I think any shield option would look great.
