Thanks you for this run off poll

Please could you tell us how long the poll will run.
Untill next Monday, 26th March, which will include all our weekend members?

I would like a Jigged Bone.
This is an example of a tight jig with two levels of dyeing, in the jigging and the base bone
The lighter base bone becomes tranclucent and picks up the light, especially attrctive on a Bearhead

I am also good with Micarta
It is also different enough to help add a distinction to this Yearly knife
I would prefer a Green Canvas Micarta
The Canvas gives a distinctive layering effect that acentuates the contours
(This would also give me a matching set with an Enzo Fixed blade)

A second request for this poll thread to save us time
Please can have a sub-topic in this thread.

Can we discuss and close on the knife length?

I would like a 3 3/4" with a slimmer frame like the GEC #48 pattern ot the Canal Street 1/2 Moon Trapper
I have a 3 3/4" Canal Street, and find it excellent in the pocket
This gives a longer length blade and even with two blades it is slimmer it does not have the bulf of a full trapper

I prefer jigged bone, but will take whatever gets voted.

My preference:

- Bone with 1095
- Micarta with 440C

Tough choice but I will definitely buy one in either material selected.

I voted for bone the first time around, but I'm switching my vote to micarta. I've got a bunch of knives with bone, but none with micarta. I'm fine with either though.

I'd like to see a new material that we haven't used for a Forum knife so I chose micarta.

I am in on either for at least one. Thank goes to all on the committee this year for each of your efforts.

I voted jigged bone, but am in for whatever is chosen. Thanks Ash and Manfred for your efforts.

voted bone. but have no micarta handled traditionals so i'm okay with either. guess my vote is a 'doesn't matter to me'.

I voted jigged bone, but will probably buy either. Safety orange or some weird color would be a deal breaker, but micarta in black, white, natural would be good to go.

We encouraged everyone to give their thoughts on length in previous threads and the majority came back with something in the 3-1/2" to 3-7/8" range with alot of people actually providing a range for their preference. The actual length will actually come down to manufacturer. Here's an academic example: if Manufacturer A has a 3-7/8" knife, they likely won't be jumping up and down to make a similar knife at 3-5/8". If we're stuck with an exact size, we will limit our choice of manufacturers even more than the current 3.

Ivory or green micarta. I want to use this thing!
