LC200N Military?

Just re-read this thread. Since then, having learned of the Caribbean Salt's, I would probably prefer their compression lock over the Military's nested liner for a water knife. Think they're being offered in two sizes as well. probably ~3.5" and a 4".

We were all expecting some news/release announced in the 2017 catalog but no-no.
Maybe as a mid-year release?

Hopefully so

perfect knife. lc200n mil with backlock......better yet a demko tri-ad collaboration deal for the knife. naw, nevermind would cost too much and id want to buy 2. maybe more. im okay with black frn or g10 whatever. bright colors dont matter to me. id be all in.

Hi Skwurll,

3.75" & 4.25" We're still waiting on samples so we didn't put it in the catalog. We'd like to have they in '17.

Hey JBmonkey,

I rarely say "never". We're working on LC models in Golden. We'll see what the future brings. You might take a look at the new Police 4. The new mods bring it really close to a lock-back Military.

I see no reason why one model of the Salt lineup couldn't be USA-made, in order to have a different steel that can be FFG, have better edge-holding in PE, and etc. I don't know if I'd care for a yellow Military, though. Maybe some type of green or orange (or red?). Otherwise, I'd probably still prefer it in a liner lock, simply because, for me, the Military has the best liner lock that I've experienced, and it would be super-easy to keep clean in wet conditions, as long as ALL the parts are rust-proof.

Hey Sal. That new Police looks really nice. Any thoughts of a Salt version? Also, have you guys given any thought to using lc200n in Japan for the pe Salts? I know I have heard they like to use their own steels but given that y'all will be using some s30v there I thought it worth asking.

Sal,

Is there any chance we can see some old models re-released in LC200N, such as the Lum Tanto? A man can dream, right?

Whilst we are waiting on the Caribbean to be ready for market, why not crank out a 1200 piece sprint of Manix 2 LWs in LC200? Perhaps with a yellow handle?

The design is pretty much water ready as it is, just use some highly stainless steel for the spring and ball bearing and it's good to go.

Sir, i am looking forward the the police 4 k390. i love the mule in that steel. i will be adding one of those to my various users. police is a great knife but styling on military i prefer.

still would love a lockback military salt version, for swamp use and no need to care for corrosion wise in lc200n steel. about the perfect larger folder.

course we all know you cant make everything we beg for. has to be a big enough market and so far doesnt seem that way other than maybe a sprint run worth. course i may just be wishing that was true.;) appreciated.

Wow, so many fans of models released in LC200N out there. I'd be in for a Police in LC200N, and a LW Manix in that steel too

Didn't realize the Caribbean was going to be that big, so I guess I'm out on that one. Really, really hoping the updated Salt I with the newer handle is released next year, whether with LC200N or H1. I didn't see any mention of a handle change in the 2017 guide, but maybe y'all were waiting on samples for that model too?

I am glad to see this thread resurrected. I wish to one day see a Millitary Salt.
