Least favorite knife?

Ok here goes, but be warned it's a terrible thing to think about.

Black coated, fully serrated chisel ground Wharncliffe with lettering all over the blade that includes the word "Tactical". Blade steel is "Surgical Stainless", Spyder hole, very thin liner lock, cheese grater G10 ala Emerson, tip down only but still with a lanyard hole. 3/4" thick overall and incredibly wide.

And here's where it gets terrible. It's a gift from my wife and I have to carry it and act like I like it because she spent a lot of money on it trying to be nice.

Ugh... It hurts just thinking about it.

Secretly sell or trade it, then tell her it must have fallen out of your pocket somewhere. If/When she offers to get you another say, "no it just won't be the same. I couldn't carry another" try and put on a sad face while you do this too lol. I mean its not like what you said is a lie, you wouldn't carry another would you? Hopefully she doesn't read the forums and see this either :P

cheap ripoffs of a axis style lock and poorly cut or imitation spider holes with sharp edges, plus anything that's tactical or military that isnt actually used by the armed forces

I really don't like blades with cheesy model names and logos stamped on the blade.
I would never buy a Teflon coated blade, because I like the option of using my blades for food prep, and Teflon always flakes off too easy...don't want to ingest that stuff.
I don't like knives that are impractical to use or carry.
I really dislike Kraton handles, especially on a carbon steel blade (I had a bad experience with the tang rusting over from trapped moisture).
"Grivory" plastic knives...what's that about??

This is probably my least favorite:

I have these that my inlaws got me a couple Christmas' ago.I bring them out & put them on the mantle when we're expecting them. They go right back into hiding when they leave.

I have nightmares about being out in the woods, reaching into my pack and pulling out something with "Gerber" written on the side of it heh. Worse yet, a decorative dragon flea market knife..

It would be a real pity if those got stolen. PM me for my address and you can mail them to me.

LMAO!:D I kinda like the black clawed hand as a stand.I may find a good knife to fit it.

Hahaha! Good thing I was talking in hypotheticals and don't have to really deal with it. If a knife like that really existed...

A chisel edge (not ground) 2.5 inch clip point blade in either 440A or "surgical stainless"
Plastic scales
either paper thin liner lock or a frame lock
spring assist.
Obnoxious logo etched on the blade.

My nighmare knife would probably have a Coated, Serrated, Recurve-Tanto-Nightmare Grind 420HC blade, with Smooth plastic handles, A flimsy Linerlock, and a built-in Glassbreaker+Seatbelt Cutter in the handle and Assisted opening.

I hate the Buck Vantage, all the models. After two attempts at liking the knife (first the Vantage Avid, then the Vantage Pro when the Avid disappointed me) I gave up on Buck folders completely. Paul Bos heat treat....my @$$. All the hardware is cheap and the liners thin and flimsy. Plus the pocket clip practically holds the knife together. The liners/scales move around slightly when the pocket clip is removed. I can't believe the support the Vantage gets when you can get an Ontario RAT 1 or a Tenacious for less money. Absurd. I wish I had been able to warn myself before wasting my money.

I like to think it was just a slip in quality control...but no other brand besides Gerber has come remotely close to disappointing me.

Given to me as a gift one Christmas..

I removed the EGA, and plastic spike of "glass breaker" (yeah right) to make it carriable as pocket knife. The thickness of the plastic desert camo grips is still almost unbearable even without that tank plate of a Corps Emblem on there and the words "Gung Ho" have worn off.

So it's actually pretty usable now besides the thickness of it and the useless seatbelt cutter. BUT Damn, that was one horrendous knife!!

Also, Gotta love how it's listed as a "survival knife"..

I was given a Boker Magnum, which is a blatant copy of a Becker, in 440A, and blunt as a biscuit. It's hidden in the back of a cupboard :(
