least favourite spyderco

All right, I know that I am swimming against the tide with this one, but I have never really warmed up to the Para-Military. Frankly, of the three that I own, the compression locks on two of them have been problematic. I edc my Militaries, but the PM just doesn't do it for me.

Well everyone has different taste, wants from their knives so we all like what we like for different reasons.Thats the beauty of collecting, using knives. You either stick with what you like or like most of people that changes on regular basis. One day sebenza, next spyderco, custom, bench made, hinderer etc....
Respect to everyone's opinion.

hate to say it, because it's a great knife, but my OG lightweight large Wayne Goddard in plain edge.

Very light and thin for its size, looks real nice. But I just don't like the ergos of having that locked in hammer grip only, with the large "guard" keeping you far from the blade. I pretty much love the ergos on all my other Spydies whereas this one is pretty neutral.

Navaja for me. I really wanted to like it, but I never really got over the 1.5 fingered choil. If it had a "normal" choil, I would have loved it. And the worst part is, I can't understand why it has a choil like that. So eventually it got traded away.

Goodeyesniper, how is the OG Wayne Goddard in a traditional saber grip?... is it awkward to hold?... i did notice that the blade is somewhat far away from that large guard....and this feature is something that could prevent me from picking up this knife up.

But for me, the least favorite Spyderco was definitely the Paramilitary 2....I know i will get a lot of flak for that, but it just didn't feel "right" in my hand :(

Spyderco Junior!!!! Believe or not, the blade actually cuts my index finger when closed. Seriously...I think it's a design FLAW....for the Para2, the blade spine actually bumps my index...so that still tolerable...

Delica 4 with a sabre ground blade. I just didn't like the handle to blade length ratio, always felt that the blade could have been longer with respect to the length of the handle. As far as the sabre grind goes, I would have liked it much better if it were at least a high flat grind, but should have gotten the FFG instead.

I don't think I have ever owned a Spyderco that I really didn't like but I think my least favorite of the ones I have owned would be the PPT. The handle didn't do it for me at all. It is a very well built knife but the handle just didn't strike my fancy.

Tenacious. Though I love using the knife and like the price of it, the blade came very off center (touching the liner) and the cheap screws have stripped on me.

So far I accumulated 70-80 spydies and I love or like all of them. I would like to have few more out of available, which make the rest least favorites.
I am aware it is hot, but Techno will be on the top of this list. But I really like LeafStorm, which got a lot of heat in this thread.:) Sounds like everybody have quite a different taste.

Navaja is my biggest disappointment. This is actually my own fault. My expectation were too high and wrong. I am big fan of original Persian and expected similar performance. I was waiting for this knife for few years, when it was in development and cannot wait to put it in my pocket. I absolutely loved the look. Finally I got it. To the best of my understanding today, this is fighting knife, but I tried to use as utility. It didn't cut well due to very thick edge, which fighter needs. I measured it and found grind to be thicker than on C95 Manix. I reprofiled it, didn't help much. Tom Krein regringed the knife. Terrific job, but after a week of carry, I found a lock to be difficult to access. So the knife went to display case, where it looks good. I know, my fault, still.

This Wayne Goddard model with brown micarta was my least favorite only because it was too hard to open. I really liked it with the micarta scales but I sold it several years ago.

The down grade on the UKPK in steel and slip joint retention - the new ones are just not as good - shame really - the old knife is a "legend" over here.

I'm not a fan of the Manic 2 Hollow ground. I always thought that the transition from hollow to the full blade thickness was too sab arublt and never thought it cut that well as a result, and for a "hard use" knife, that is a very delicate tip and thin edge. Love the handle shape, lock, everything but the blade grind. I have the same complaint to a lesser degree with the native 4 frn

Probably the early C05 Economy. It had that silly clip that was stamped out of the stainless scale. And it used AUS-6 steel. At least it was inexpensive.

Mine would haft to be the southard flipper....I know I know.... not because of some Youtubers review of it or the price tag, I just didn't like the ergos on the knife, it was too small.... Just my opinion though many others will disagree with me and YMMV.

The Sage. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I don't like the way it feels in-hand, IMO it looks funny when closed, the liner lock (looks) too thin, and the blade is too wide for my taste. Unfortunate, because the CF handles on the Sage 1 and the wire clip were both really nice.

I've only had two, a Southard and a fixed blade Warrior Knife. I love the Southard. The Warrior Knife is OK but I probably wouldn't have bought it had I thought things through, since it can't really be used for batoning. However, the H1 steel is great and the concave side with serration has its uses. I've ordered a Karahawk and am thinking about getting the Dominoe when it comes out. Still, I expect to like all these knives. My least favorite knife right now is a Kershaw Skyline RDSW. The grind is off so it won't center, and I can't have it replaced because it's a limited edition. Bugs me.

I'm another who didn't like the Paramilitary. It is the only Spyderco I didn't warm to. Didn't fit my hand, upside down lock and poor grip to blade length ratio.

Manix2 for this guy.. I guess I was just expecting the lock to be easier to pull. Then reading about the issues with the shape of the little plastic spring rod. No wonder the locks tend to be sticky more often than not. This was a huge disappointment because it fit my hand so well. I wanted to like it so much but it just always left a bad taste in my mouth and I just recently sold it.
