least favourite spyderco

I've had quite a few Spydercos and liked them all except the Lava and the Scorpius. They both had stainless steel handles which I didn't care for.

Of all the ones I've owned, the Manix XL was the worst because the lock was awkward to use. It was also big and bulky.

Well, its not a knife, but I really don't like the sharpmaker. I don't know why, but some knives I can get really sharp on it, some I can't and make worse. And I can never get the very tip sharp on them. And as of lately, some of the UF stones I got were really poor quality, really bumpy and uneven. I'm going to be upgrading to a wicked edge. Getting some knives back from smokeeater908 that he sharpened for me, I guess I'll see the results. I've also never been able to pull a hair whittling edge off the sharpmaker, even after I stropped it.

Stainless steel Police....darn knives are so big and unwieldly, it's like carrying a sharpened chrome plated Studebaker bumper. When it comes to pocket knives, the Delica is what I consider the perfect size for pocket carry; get much bigger and you're better off with a fixed blade.

My least favorite Spyderco that I have ever personally encountered is the Manix 2. It seemed a bit too wide as it takes up a good chunk of your pocket. The worst thing, IMO, was the raised bumps on the steel liners. They just dug into my hands and offered no comfort whatsoever. I quickly sold it and have no desire for another Manix 2.
